Outdoor Learning
We have access to a lovely fenced woodland site, 150 metres across a playing field adjacent to the pre-school building, with no roads or other hazards for the children to cross. Access to the site and the terrain within it is step-free and (within the constraints of any natural woodland area) wheelchair-friendly.

Parents, staff and the community have been integral to the development and maintenance of the woodland, which provides a unique and exciting opportunity for the children to enjoy and appreciate their local environment.

Children reap the benefits of woodland walks, bug hunts, dinosaur dens, fairy woodlands, low level climbing and balancing, painting, digging, kicking up leaves, making clay models, exploring with friends, bird watching, plus lots more activities including having hot chocolate for snack time!
