We have access to a lovely fenced woodland site, 150 metres across a playing field adjacent to the pre-school building, with no roads or other hazards for the children to cross. Access to the site and the terrain within it is step-free and (within the constraints of any natural woodland area) wheelchair-friendly.

Parents, staff and the community have been integral to the development of the Forest School. 

 

There are no other Forest Schools in the immediate vicinity, and this provides a unique and exciting opportunity for local children to enjoy and appreciate their local environment.

The woods are a great environment for our woodland walks, bug hunts, dinosaur dens, fairy woodlands, low level climbing and balancing, painting, digging, kicking up leaves, making clay models, exploring with friends, bird watching, lots more activities and having hot chocolate for snack time!
