We have access to a lovely fenced woodland site, 150 metres across a playing field adjacent to the pre-school building, with no roads or other hazards for the children to cross. Access to the site and the terrain within it is step-free and (within the constraints of any natural woodland area) wheelchair-friendly.
Parents, staff and the community have been integral to the development of the Forest School.
There are no other Forest Schools in the immediate vicinity, and this will provide a unique and exciting opportunity for local children to enjoy and appreciate their local environment.
Forest School sessions are led by Inger Mak-Pearce, a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner. These are on Thursday mornings every week.
The woods are also a great environment for our woodland walks, bug hunts and exploring etc. when possible during the week.
