Hemblington Preschool Committee
Can you spare a few hours a term to support our preschool?
We are continuously looking at inviting new members to our committee.
Parents and non parents are equally welcome.
The important thing is that you do not need any previous experience to join.
Get in touch to meet new people, share ideas, learn new skills and give back to your community.

Who we are and what we do:
Hemblington Preschool is a registered charity which is led by a committee of volunteers, mostly parent and carers of children attending the pre school.
A committee is a legal requirement for all charitable settings, without the committee the pre school would not be able to operate and would have to close.
The committee work alongside the senior staff to ensure the smooth running of the preschool. The day to day running of the preschool is the responsibility of our highly qualified and experienced staff, but the committee members are legally responsible for the organisation and finances of the preschool.
The committee usually meets at 7pm once every 12 weeks. Members can also join remotely if unable to physically attend the meeting.
Hemblington Preschool Committee currently consists of 9 members and holds 3 roles ( Chair, Secretary and Treasurer) details of which are set out below.
We depend very much on the goodwill of parents/carers and their involvement with the pre school.
Alongside the committee we also rely on volunteers to help run our termly fundraising events.
See more on what we do to fundraise here
To protect the pre school and the children all committee members will require a valid DBS and EY2. The cost of which can be reimbursed.
Finally it is important that all committee meetings are confidential and should not be discussed with non members.
